READ ME

This Read Me document provides revelant information about Alessia.

OVERVIEW
Alessia is an experienced game designer and developer. She thrives in combining design and technical skills to make interesting and memorable games. She is especially passionate about storytelling and narrative games, and strives to create memorable and impactful virtual worlds. Whether it be through new game mechanics, or a robust dialogue system (and the dialogue), or level design and the encounters within it, or a synergistic user interface and experience, she's always thinking about how the parts of a game sum up into a cohesive whole.

QUALIFICATION INFORMATION
Alessia's education has always blended the technical and the arts before she started her post-secondary studies. She has a Bachelor of Design from OCAD University from their Digital Futures program; it was during this time she led the student team that created the game Fangs and Friends, which went on to win three awards at the LevelUpTO showcase that year, including the award for 'Best Overall Game'. She went on to complete a Master of Fine Arts degree at New York University as a student in their Game Design program to further hone her hands-on skills in game design and development.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
Alessia spends time playing games when she isn't making them. Some of her favorite video games include the following list:
‣ A Short Hike (2019)

‣ Animal Crossing: New Horizons (2020)
‣ Dragon Age (series, 2009 - 2024)
‣ Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings (2007)

‣ Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time (2007)

‣ Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (2003)
‣ Tangle Tower (2019)
‣ Transistor (2014)

Alessia is also an avid reader. Outside of her (very large) collection of Star Wars novels and comics, the following is a non-exhaustive list of some of the other leisure reading books she has enjoyed:
‣ Bone, by Jeff Smith
‣ The Darkness Outside Us, by Eliot Schrefer
‣ Dragon Age: Asunder, by David Gaider
‣ Nimona, by N.D. Stevenson
‣ Why Are We 'Artists'?: 100 World Art Manifestos, collected by Jessica Lack

Outside of playing games (analog and digital!) and reading, Alessia enanges in a number of other creative hobbies, which include crochetting, writing, painting, drawing, and playing the ukulele and the piano. She also enjoys going for long walks. She's always keen to pick up new hobbies that pique her interest.
